Creativity has its techniques and is not innate; therefore, there is an application process that will allow us to unlock our creative thinking, taking into account the following phases:

Preparation: It is necessary to identify a need or problem that is of interest; this is where the creative process, or the stages of creativity, begin. This process consists of combining both rationality and intuition. Therefore, techniques such as brainstorming are used.
Incubation: During this phase, it is necessary to incubate the idea, believing that one already possesses the knowledge, entering a state of subconsciousness and distancing oneself from the proposed problem in order to clear the mind or allow the ideas to rest.
Illumination: The illumination phase coincides with the moment when things become clear and the solution appears. Sometimes this phase occurs when thought is not directly focused on the problem, as it can be achieved through experience gained from a shift in perception of the problem.
Verification: At this point, we must return to rationality and critical thinking to discriminate against those ideas that are not practically useful and, therefore, do not solve the problems posed. Logic becomes the fundamental tool of this phase; an analysis, verification, and validation of the adopted solution is carried out.
