How to make your videos successful? Formula for success:

The countdown to the end of 2018 has begun! And if you're one of those who gets anxious thinking about it because you haven't met all your business goals, we have good news for you: You still have time to achieve them! Or at least make significant progress. How? The key is: Viral video marketing. And so you're not more confused than before, here's a brief definition of viral marketing:

"It's a technique that creates interest and generates potential purchases of a brand or product through messages that spread rapidly from person to person. The goal is to get them to choose to share the content themselves."

We know that after defining it, you probably felt a bit overwhelmed thinking it was quite difficult, but don't worry! It's not as complicated as you think. Below, we give you a formula that will help make your videos successful from the planning stage, and we give you some tips to increase your chances of them going viral.

  1. Define your objective: Are you looking to… launch a new product? Connect with your audience? Promote a special offer? It's crucial to define what you want to achieve so that the storyboard, scripts, and production are all in sync.
  2. Research, research, research!: What does your target audience like? What do they dislike? What situations and language do they identify with? How does your brand help them? Are there any social situations where your brand can make a positive impact? Answering these questions will help define how to communicate your message, what message you will convey, through which channels, and often, the concept of the story you will tell in your video.
  3. Keep the timing in mind: Remember! Time is of the essence, and there's no point in creating a super emotional Christmas video if it's not ready until July of the following year.
  4. Define a clear concept: At this point, we're referring to the central idea around which the story and script will revolve. In this stage, you'll define the characters, the plot, the locations, and everything necessary for the production budget and the production itself.
  5. Define the distribution channels: Because making a video for a television commercial is not the same as making one for social media. The former requires more investment, and the latter… It will be a developed video. A video for social media is not the same as one for…

And as promised, here's a collection of tips to increase the virality of your animated creation:

  • The first 15 seconds are crucial for generating interest in your video, so use them wisely.
  • The duration should be relatively short: Did you know that the 10 most-viewed advertising videos in the world are all 4 minutes and 15 seconds long?
  • When it comes to advertising: less is more. Although we know it's an advertising video, the recommendation is that your products and advertising messages should only be prominent when the story demands it, NOT all the time.
  • Use catchy music that appeals to all types of people. Remember! The goal of the music is to evoke feelings that align with the content of your video.
  • Include clear calls to action or instructions within your video, such as: subscribe, shop in our online store, follow us on our social media, etc.
  • The idea is everything: When we refer to the idea, we mean the concept through which you will convey your message. If this idea is good, your efforts to make it go viral will be less.
  • Include your video's keywords in the title and description.
  • Tell a story: People connect more with a story and are more likely to share and comment on it.
